The view from Richie's Bridge. |
If this is the end, spending our days living as beautiful a life as possible is more important than ever. These are precious moments.
We are at peak insanity, and anything could happen. Considering that, I have been asking myself how I would like to spend what could be our final days.
On line?
Shopping?
Worrying?
Or out enjoying nature?
Nature wins.
If I haven't been around for a while, look for me down at Richie's Bridge that crosses the brook on his land.
I will be the guy sitting on the bridge over tranquil water.
Sometimes I sit and think, but most of the time, I like to just sit and savour the view.
Less stuff, and more precious moments.
That's my plan.
Spot on gorgeous. Thank you; I needed this today.
ReplyDeleteHi Gregg...been thinking on this post for several days. Not real sure what you mean by "If this is the end..." but it does feel like "the end" in some ways, doesn't it? Difficult times are most certainly ahead for many reasons, and after absorbing the message in this post, I too wish to spend that time living a, if not beautiful, then a calm-and-less-harmful-to-myself-and-others-and-the-planet type of existence. So thank you for putting this out there, because not acknowledging the end of something means it can bring anxiety and frantic behaviors. I prefer to acknowledge it and find that calm life. All the best - Mary
ReplyDeleteBy "the end" I refer to the psychopaths trying to ignite a nuclear WWIII. It seems inevitable. Didn't someone ask, "why have all these nuclear weapons if you can't use them?" Good question.
DeleteBut endings do lead to new beginnings, and things will come together in the way that they must. A calm acceptance goes a long way. So does trying to do less harm.
