I just spent the afternoon with a good friend helping her choose FLOWERS for her yard and garden. Oh, the glorious profusion of shapes and colours and scents - she was all business but I wanted to move in.
I live in a basement apartment with huge windows that look out onto a parking lot and lane. Drab? yes, but every summer "the crazy lady in C" fills window boxes with blooms that I sit on the ground outside my windows. I don't even see the parking lot all summer; my eyes stop at the FLOWERS. Blooms are the bomb!
I am so happy for you and your flower! Out and about on one of our rambles through the neighbourhood, while walking down a back lane, my feline companion and I passed a ramshackle garage, doors held shut by a chain and an ancient rusty padlock. Growing out of the keyhole of the padlock was a single, tiny, beautiful and life-affirming viola. Such joy!
I love how you respond to the universe. It makes me smile and calms me.
ReplyDeleteThank you. That does make me happy.

Flowers are distracting in a good way!
ReplyDeleteI guess it could be considered denial, but I am going with flowers anyway.

I noticed a small bloom on one of my succulents today and it was a miracle! I’ve never seen this plant bloom and it made me so happy. Flowers! -Erin
