The green pigment in leaves, a substance called chlorophyl, masks underlying colours that we don't normally see.
We see their true colours, and that's why we love them.
So, like the leaves, we should not be afraid to let ours show.
Our true colours.
True colours are beautiful
Like a rainbow.

Beautiful pictures. I was just listening to "We Are The World" on YouTube last night. Cyndi Lauper is amazing. She's the 80's Janis Joplin.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures were taken on a bike ride through a neighbour's wood lot. The owners welcome anyone that wants to enjoy the many trails on their property. It has been sustainably managed over the years, and has trees and forests of all ages, including some very large old growth. Nice to have right next door, and one of my favourite places to visit regularly.
DeleteI like "the 80s Janis Jopliin". Lauper wrote a memoir in 2012 that would probably make for good reading. She is awesome.

You truly have chosen a paradise to live in. It seems a perfect match for you and Linda.
DeleteI've heard about Cyndi's memoir. I bet it is a good read.
Such a beautiful post.
