When my youngest son was in 3rd or 4t...Dear Geoff,<br /><br />When my youngest son was in 3rd or 4th grade, his teacher gave all the students turkeys to color and cut out. These turkeys were holding muskets. (Whaaattt??? I can hear you say it all the way in Ohio). We for the most part are vegetarians. We have had many Thanksgiving feasts (of course not until November here) without turkey. My son, being socially conscious even at the young age of 9 or 10, releived his turkey of its musket and gave it a bouquet of flowers instead. I love thinking about that little boy, who grew up to work with the homeless population in California.
