Seasonings Greeting

Seasonings Greeting

Seasonings Greeting! We wish you all a Merry Happy Kwanzaa Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule, Solstice, Saturnalia... or whatever other observance you practice this time of year.

May you and yours celebrate joyously, relish each others company, and avoid the commercialization and trivialization of all we hold dear at this time, and all year round.

Love and kindness are free - let's spread that stuff around. It is the best.

And may all your seasonings be fresh and friendly.

Gregg and Linda

  1. Oh no, three people I gave me presents! I didn't give them anything...maybe next year they'll see I meant it when I said 'please not gifts'. Have a good one folks!

It's happened to me every year, even though I've told them over and over I don't want gifts. All I can do is say thank you and remind them again later, that I really mean what I say!

    2. What do you give someone that has everything they need? Nothing. Or food. Food is good. This is a good time of year to share a meal.

  2. Sage to you turmeric and a happy nutmeg! ;-) Thank you for always reminding me what's important in this life. Here's hoping that more people will continue to wake up and realize that they can make a difference in this world by embracing and appreciating the simple things. Happiness always!!

  4. Hello Gregg and Linda, i whish you an happy new year !
I am a French student and i have a work to do about consumerism and how people can consume without buying and i find this subject very interesting. I was making some research and i found your blog.
I have some questions for you, i hope it doesn't bother you (you don't have to answer if you don't want to):
    - How do you live without buying ? is it with gardening ? do you practice swap ?

    - Do you consider yourselves as consumers even if you don't buy ?

    Thank you for your time,
    ChloƩ Masselin

    1. Terri,

If one is sensitive to consumer craziness, this time of year can be a challenge. Hope you are getting through it all. Take comfort in knowing that the madness tends to slow again once the festive frenzy is over. We notice when you aren't around, and miss your contributions.

  6. jlynn,

Your comment represents a beautiful gift at this time of year. Our weather is getting cold right now, and we find your kind words to be most warming. We are honoured to have been taken into your life, and are happy that you took the time to let us know. We endeavour to keep ourselves (and you) on track in the new year. Together we forward in simplicity.
