Savouring Simple Pleasures

The valley below our home is a riot of colour.

“See what happens if you commit yourself to loving life.

Begin by remembering to pause and savor the simple pleasures.

Have the intention to hold gently the difficulties.

Open your heart to the life of this moment and discover that joy is never very far away.”

- Tara Brach, “Radical Acceptance”

  1. That quote is simple, yet profound - lovely. And the second photo is just stunning. Who needs to own anything when you have that in your 'backyard'.
I'm going out to plant root vegetables now - I'm so looking forward to it I don't even think I'll bother to change out of my pyjamas!

    1. All I have ever wanted is to be in nature as much as possible. Fortunately you don't need much to make that happen. Just a willingness to go slow enough to see the beauty that constantly surrounds us, but is difficult to see when engaged in fast-paced modern life.
